Insecure.Com's nmap command
|
This page is a description of the status interface and functionality.
The status interface is reached by the entering the secure administration password into the login interface, covered in User Manual - Login, or by clicking on the Status link in the navigation bar in any of the other interfaces in the application.
The status interface, when loaded, initiates a network analysis made up of a series of scans that report the current status of the interfaces on the Advanced Router and the hosts in the internal LAN/DMZ. Currently, the output of the
ifconfig command (no handy URL available, see the man page) is used to identify interfaces, and the output of the nmap command is used to identify hosts. While these scans are investigating, a message will be displayed asking the user to wait. Once the scans are complete, a report is displayed that describes whether interfaces and hosts are currently configured and whether there are any newly discovered interfaces or hosts that may need configuration.
The navigation bar offers links to Log Out, covered in User Manual - Log Out, Manage Interfaces, covered in User Manual - Interface Manager, Manage Hosts, covered in User Manual - Host Manager, Check and Apply Configuration, covered in User Manual - Configuration Check, Manage Passwords, covered in User Manual - Manage Passwords, this Manual, and the Bugs report/support forum for skyPipes application users.
