This page is a description of the (network) interface manager (web) interface and functionality.
The interface manager interface is reached by clicking on the Manage Interfaces link in the navigation bar in any of the other interfaces in the application.
The interface manager interface displays a tabulated form in which each row represents the preferred configuration settings for the interface named in the column labelled "interface". The settings and displays in each column are as follows:
- New:
This column displays whether the interface is newly discovered, requiring its settings to be confirmed before it will be enabled in the configuration. - Interface:
This column displays the name of the interface. - Active:
This setting determines whether the interface will be included in the configuration. If set to DOWN, the interface will be disabled, and no rules, routes, or translations will be implemented for that interface. - LAN:
This column displays whether the IP addresses assigned to this interface are routable (external) or non-routable (internal). - IP Address:
This setting indicates the primary IP address to be assigned to this interface. - Network:
This column displays the network IP address of this interface, given current settings. - Gateway:
This setting indicates the gateway IP address to be assigned to this interface. - Broadcast:
This setting indicates the broadcast IP address to be assigned to this interface. - Netmask:
This setting indicates the netmask IP address to be assigned to this interface.
