This page is a description of the initialize interface and functionality.
The initialize interface is reached by filling out the form in the install interface, covered in User Manual - Install.
The initialize interface consists of a two text inputs that ask for a secure application password to be chosen by the user and entered into each box. A secure password is one which should be carefully kept track of, with the usual precautions of length, and a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Any password less than eight characters will be refused. Whether there is a proper mix of different types of characters is not enforced, but highly recommended. Enter the new password in each text field, then either press the Enter key or click the Initialize link.
If no password is entered or the two passwords entered do not match or if the password is less than eight characters, an error message will be displayed and the user will be prompted to reenter the password.
If matching passwords of appropriate length are entered, the application password will be encrypted and written to the database. Then a confirmation message will be displayed, with a link to log in to the main application, covered in User Manual - Login.
The navigation bar offers links to this Manual and to the Bugs report/support forum for skyPipes application users.
