  This page is a description of the check configuration interface and functionality.

  The check interface is reached by clicking on the Check and Apply Configuration link in the navigation bar in any of the other interfaces in the application.

  The check configuration interface when loaded evaluates the current settings in the database to make sure that they have been confirmed for at least one internal and one or more external interfaces, and one or more internal LAN/DMZ hosts. It displays the current state of the interfaces, the hosts, and the configuration as a whole. If there are no interfaces or hosts configured, the configuration will appear as unconfigured. If appropriate settings have been confirmed, then the configuration will be listed as configured and ready to be applied.

  If the configuration is ready to be applied, the control bar offers an Apply Configuration link. This link calls arrcGenerator.html, which generates a new configuration shell script, arrc.sh, made up of calls to the ip and iptables commands. A message is sent to the message bar to notify the user of a successful generation. The newly generated script is run as the root user the next minute by a regularly scheduled script, arrcApply.html, which checks for a new version of the configuration script.
